A Rather Interesting Rez Day

I ventured out of the Lab to particpate in Steelhead's Holiday Storytelling Festival and perform my "12 Days of Mad Scientist Christmas" to an appreciative audience...
Lest anyone think I am anti-holiday, I rather enjoy the season and the prospect of gifts of fishies, mice, and doom rays. Not to mention sharks in tanks...sharks not in tanks. It warms my heart, but not as much as the coal I seem to receive instead. My Hidden Paw colleague, ChairmanMe Yowman was there, and engaged The BunnyElf in a round of fisticuffs...I attended the dance afterwards with music presenter Diamanda Gustafson, whose snowflakes were in the form of skulls. I was thrilled. She was also wearing a rather interesting hat...I normally do not like dances, but I checked the calendar and realized it was my rez day. Another year of dodging enemies and friends and I am still here to tell the tale!

Thinking

Many of Steelhead's residents were away recently and although I should have taken over the town in a swift, bloodless (or maybe not) coup that could have involved automatons and a touch of chaos, I chose not to. First, because I just don't feel like rebuilding the warehouse quite yet, and second, because I don't feel like The Redhead giving me a reason to rebuild the warehouse quite yet. In the meantime, I walked over to the Town Hall lockup to chat with Willard, who commented upon the fact that I was not knee-high. "'Twas only a choice for convenience to be this form today Rat," I said to him as he squeaked a chuckle. "You know the deal I made." I moved aside some papers and other effects on Fuzz's desk and had a seat as we chatted. Rodentspeak is a much more complex language than it seems at times... I know I have been "quiet" again as of late, as I have had "business" to attend to. After all, one does not get to be the regional head of a shadowy organization by leaving such things undone. The nature of it I shall not go more into it. 'Twas a bit unsavory and a lot uncomfortable for the parties involved. I left Willard to his plate of cheese and rants about traps and headed across the way to the main meeting room. As I perched upon the main podium, I thought "Hmm...I need to have a little chat with Mr Quan." 'Tis a rare thing when I smile.

A-HA! A Cure!!

I stood there contemplating the giant hybrid piece of garlic I had set out...just in case. I need to send Dr Frankenstein a thank-you letter for the lovely fruits and veggies he sent me. I can not believe I am saying this, but I do not wish for harm to come to my minion as he is a good one and good ones are so hard to find. Besides, no one hunts my minion but me. The Duchess was supposedly disoriented and hungry, but I'm a kitty too...that doesn't take much. They both agreed that she was wearing catnip perfume...wait...why does that sound familiar?I immediately thought of being at the Eastern headquarters of Hidden Paw, high in the mountains. I closed my eyes and could feel the crisp air around me. A bit of the smell of catnip incense was lingering on the breezes. I had just returned from a mission in Japan, dealing with some felines that had a thirst for other than water...oh my! That's it! Feline. We are not human, even in neko form! My belief that in us it could be just a virus passing through could very well be true this time! I know where to look!I went into a secret room in the lab and opened a chest. I took out one of the ancient scrolls that I brought with me from the East and carefully unrolled it. I read quickly as I hoped I would find what I needed. Indeed! That is the answer! I have found their cure. I must get to work on it right away...

Mr Quan's Expansions

I have been on...sojourns...of late, for reasons only I need to know. In the meanwhile, it seems Mr Quan has been keeping himself rather busy...He seems to have established a Benevolent Order of Oddkitties in this city called "New Toulouse", a rather laid-back place quite perfect for a front--I mean, establishment such as his. His recruitment activities have been going well and he gave me a tour the other week, which included an intriguing contraption...
And how lovely of him to provide a free soup kitchen. I do hope that the crawfish haven't been fed soylent green again. He does my organization proud spreading Hidden Paw--I mean, feeding the downtrodden of New Toulouse...*cackles*

To Hidden Paw!

I was finally able to meet with Mr Foden, and I was accompanied by Mr Quan, who had his claws out at first--just in case. A bit more serious in personality and a Babbagian, Mr Foden is an airman with a squadron at his disposal, and has a bit of scripting experience under his belt. He showed me his gyropticon rings as a potential alternative energy source using kinetic energy... His reason for joining Hidden Paw was simple, his dislike of humans and a touch of revenge...both motives I can understand. I decided to go ahead and take him on as a minion. We raised our glasses in a toast to our newest member of the organization: "Long live Hidden Paw! May it ever grow!"

ETK Flag

My clever assistant seems to have come up with this Hidden Paw flag. I do believe I'll leave him a trout or something...

I hope he is staying out of trouble. Oh, who am I kidding?
